Each year we decorate the sanctuary for Christmas here at the First Baptist Church in Oswego. This year, like the ones before, we had a great time decorating and shared some snacks afterwards. The SWORD Youth Group is open to all youth in 7th-12th grades. We meet every Sunday night from 6:30-7:45. Upcoming Events: Mini Lock-In 12/12 6pm-midnight SWORD Christmas Party 12/21/14 6:30-7:45
The first Baptist Church of Oswego held its annual youth duck hunt on Saturday, November 1. Around 30 young people attended, as well as about 20 volunteers. Special thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and prayed.
The Oswego Ministerial Alliance Thanksgiving Meal will be held on November 23 at 6 PM at the Oswego Community Center. Our church has been asked to furnish the desserts for this event. We also need some volunteers at the Community Center to help set up the tables and also take them down following the meal. Admission to this event is a can of vegetables. If you can help with any of the above, please contact Lorene Brannin.
We will be hosting a potato bake on November 1 at the Oswego Community Center. All proceeds from this event go to the kitchen fund. We need volunteers to furnish potato toppings.
The First Baptist Church of Oswego will be having a HAYRIDE for the SWORD Youth Group October 25th at 5:30. Meet at the church, invite your friends. We will return to the church by 9pm. For more information contact our Youth Director, Kelly Vance at 620-717-3615.
Oswegofest is September 27 from 9 AM until 2 PM. Our church will have a booth. If anyone would like to volunteer please contact Dixie or Kathy. Volunteers will be needed from 8 AM to 2 PM.
The First Baptist Church in Oswego will be hosting the second annual youth waterfowl hunt on Saturday, November 1. This event is open to any youth and is limited to a certain number of participants. Please contact Tony or Jane Hayward to reserve your spot or for additional information. More information will be posted soon.
The First Baptist Church of Oswego will be hosting 5th quarter again this year. We will be providing pizza, other snacks, drinks, and a fun place to hang out after the following high school football games: Friday, September? Friday, September? Students in middle school or high school may attend. There is no charge. The church will be open until 11 PM??
