Acts of Kindness

Acts of kindness come in many different colors.

Yesterday, I received a note in the mail that reflected on our mother’s day sermon with thoughtful appreciation. These words not only made my day, they reaffirmed to me why I am called to do God’s work……why we are each called.

Each day, we have the privilege of affecting the lives of all we come in contact with…how are we going to handle that honor?

Will we simply throw a ” positive ” word out so we can become the ” positive ” influence in the world today? Although there’s much to be said about this approach (in a good way) I would challenge us to take it to the next level….. Like the note I received in the mail yesterday, and write a personal word that addresses the heart.

Positive words are encouraging, but truthful words, words that do more than scratch the surface of our intellect and tease our emotions, words that may even cost us something by proving we really care….those words INSPIRE us to carry on and do great things. Think about it, do you care enough to encourage someone, or are you invested enough in them to INSPIRE……? The world needs both, but I’m ready for the next level, how about you?

P.S. Thank you for my note!!!
